Another Pointless Blog

In the world of blogging it is no longer simple just to set up your blog and just use. Yes, now bloggers need to go that one step further and incorporate plugins and tools to use as well as using many different services. So I’ve done all the hard work for all you bloggers out there. This is my comprehensive list of the BEST blogging tools from around the web. If you have any more you’d like me to add just comment below!

• Google Analytics - Track how your website is doing, with Googles user friendly interface and the amount of data that this tool provides you, it makes for the perfect analytical solution.

• FeedBurner - Track how many subscribers that you have and give visitors advanced options when subscribing to your feed. Any top blogger will tell you the first thing to do when creating a blog is to burn your feed!

• Technorati - This is the biggest blog voting website. You ‘claim’ your blog and then you start networking with other bloggers. You can also add a voting button on your blog

• Blog Catalog - This is a blog indexing site. Unlike Technorati, you don’t vote. To start create a profile, and then you can start networking. You can add friends and participate in discussions. It is also a great idea to add the ‘recent viewers’ widget onto your blog. This also publicizes your visitors blog.

• Blog Flux - This is a blog directory website with helpful tools to aid you in creating and maintaing your blog. There are tools like the button creator and the Page Rank checker.

• fuelmyblog - This service is much like technorati, except instead of adding blog’s to your favorites list you give them a thumbs up.

• Blog Toplist - Submit your blog to this directory and add the tracking code and widget on your site. See how you rank in their directory of sites (for your niche). [Mines only been in for a day, so its ranking is very low.]

• Google Adsense - Got visitors? why not make some cash on the side with Adsense!

• EntreCard - Get free traffic, earn points, publicize your blog and even sell points for real money! EntreCard is a great idea and is a must have for all bloggers. [Don't forget to drop your card here daily ]

• ADSDAQ - This is a PayPerView advertisement system which can work well with EntreCard and other services just to bring in a little bit of side cash!

• Ping-o-Matic - Made a new post? Let the world know, with ping-o-matic, you can let 16 blog index sites + more know that you have made a new post with this simple service.

• WordPress Plugins - This is a huge directory of plugins for your WordPress Blog.

• Blog Engage - Once you create an article head over to Blog Engage and submit your article, much like digg, but only for blogs.

• Digg - This is the ultimate social networking website on the web. Why not submit your articles to this site if you feel they are worth others reading!

• StumbleUpon - All over the world people have been sucked into this new way of browsing, so why not take advantage, submit all your articles to StumbleUpon and watch the traffic flow through!
